Nestled on 83rd street on the upper east side, 83 and ½ is an under the radar Italian restaurant with sophisticated dishes and excellent presentation.
Prices are reasonable and portions are normal. Try the polenta, artichoke hearts, brussel sprouts, and eggplant parm to start. For main pastas, the two tortellinis, paccheri, gnocchi, and ravioli are excellent. This is a cute spot for a date, but they are superb at delivery, with intelligent packaging and efficiency.
