Astoria has become a more popular place to live with rents in Manhattan and much of Brooklyn becoming unaffordable. Long before the 20 and 30 something crowd moved to Astoria, it was an inviting neighborhood for numerous communities, including the Greek one. For this reason, there are a number of delicious Greek restaurants.
Among the worthwhile venues is Bahari Estiatorio; a welcoming restaurant with a well executed menu at reasonable price points. The waiters, who are Greek, will expertly guide you to the best fish and other dishes. Ask to sit in the back when you come in – it is surprisingly deep and pleasant. This is a nice place for a date or a meal with family and friends.
