Located in the heart of Little Italy, Buona Notte is the perfect place for a date or just a night of fun. From the outside the restaurant does not appear big, but the hidden surprise is the large outdoor area out back covered in umbrellas. The service is attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant.
The Italian food is well executed with top notch mozzarella sticks, superb fettuccine, and a very good eggplant parmigiana appetizer. The mushroom ravioli was also really tasty as were the tortellini filled with porcini and truffles.
It’s not a cheap place to eat, but for the neighborhood the food is surprisingly good and you will be insulated from the commotion of Mulberry street.
