There are so few kosher Chinese restaurants that I am excited to be able to write about Cho-Sen Garden. It is located in Forest Hills and has really good food at reasonable prices. There is a sister restaurant on Long Island.
The ambiance at Cho-Sen garden can be hit or miss, with potential for loud little kids and the restaurant is understaffed, but the food is the star.
The pupu platter at Cho-Sen Garden is really good and reasonably priced, as are the wings. If you’re looking for something unexpected, try the mazel basket – a basket made of potato sticks filled with beef, chicken and veal is great as are the beef teriyaki and General Tzao’s. There can be a wait, but the restaurant is a decent size so the line will move.
This is a place to go with family or friends for a tasty meal.
