Da Umberto NYC

Located on West 17th street just off of 6th avenue, Da Umberto is near Union Square. It has been in existence since the 1980s and we should all hope it continues for many more years to come.

The service at this restaurant is outstanding, the food is excellent, and the ambiance is delightful. The dining space is discreetly large; high ceilings make the restaurant feel even bigger with dining split between a larger front room and a back room in front of the kitchen.

The pastas are superb; I recommend the cavatelli with charred corn, the pappardelle with mushrooms, and the cacio e pepe ravioli. The eggplant parmigiana is awesome with a sharper cheese used than most other Italian restaurants.

Go here for a date or with your kids, but do make a reservation and enjoy a wonderful dining experience.
