Grand Street Pizza is a gem on the Lower East Side. It is great for a casual bite with friends or a solo snack. There is a neat wood paneled bar area inside where you can eat or you can get one of the small tables outside under the awning. The pizza is displayed in a glass case the way pies are displayed at Greek diners.
The pizza itself is not expensive but it is excellent. The cheese, vodka, white and sicilian were all terrific. Each had delicious firm and crispy crust with terrific cheese on top. For those slices with sauce, it was well executed. The slices aren’t large so you can definitely have at least 2 in a meal.
