Welcome to Jacques, an elegant cocktail lounge located on the Upper East Side, New York. This is a great spot to meet a date for an upscale experience. The restaurant is divided into two sections: the bar and the restaurant. The bar is a bit busy, but the atmosphere is great.
There is a nice alcove tucked away on the right when you enter. It is a bit more private and quieter in contrast to the tables in the hallway between the bar and restaurant, where there is a coat check and lines from diners often form.
The drinks are well executed and the service is up to snuff. The cocktail lounge does not take reservations and it is a small space so it can be hit or miss on having to wait long for a table. I recommend going at off hours to get a table without delay and to have drinks. This is a sophisticated venue worth a special trip.=
