La Brochette is a fine kosher steakhouse located conveniently by Grand Central. Whether you have a business meeting or are going on a date, it is a good place for an upscale meal.
There are two floors; for privacy, I recommend sitting upstairs. The staff are pleasant and the prices, while expensive, are in line with high end kosher meat restaurants.
I particularly enjoyed the spare ribs appetizer and all the main courses I tried were great. While the waiter was very pleasant, I was slightly miffed that the steak I had asked for rare and it was served medium rare.
At those price points, it should be perfect. Overall, I rate La Brochette as good. It has a lot of competition, but if you’re in midtown and want a nice kosher steakhouse, this is a place to go.
