L’Artusi is a well known restaurant in Manhattan’s uber hip West Village neighborhood. It offers reservations, but they are really hard to get.
There is a chic, attractive crowd and an efficient pleasant staff. The food is excellent and expensive. For New York City, prices are not out of line, but if you end up getting wine and drinks, the tab can grow easily.
Sitting at the bar is a great option if you want to people watch or simply enjoy having a bit more space to eat.
L’Artusi is a serious date spot and you should take someone special there. Since it requires a bit of planning, unless you want to have a standing reservation, plan to take a significant other you imagine being with several weeks later.
