With a seemingly never dwindling line queuing around the corner, L’Industrie has become a go to pizza spot in Williamsburg. There are plans to expand, which should be welcome news to diners.
There are a few counter spots and a shed outside, but if you happen to live in the area, ordering in advance to take out seems to be a great way to go. The staff is super pleasant and the line does move. The pizza is worth the wait with a crisp crust and a slightly tangy sauce.
The New Yorker, Burrata, and Tartufo were standouts. Every day there is a hero of the day, which receives rave reviews. I was fortunate enough to let gluttony lead me to try the desserts, including a delightful Mille Feuille, Cheesecake and a savory concoction best described as an Open Lobster Tail.
The pizza is not cheap, but certainly not expensive. It is worth trying and we can only hope that the new location alleviates some of the wait times, but if not it still is worth the time commitment.
