malka stuffed schnitzel

Malka is the uber popular Eyal Shani restaurant on the Upper West Side that replaced Miznon North.

It is also Shani’s first kosher restaurant outside of Tel Aviv. The place, to put it mildly, is packed. You should make a reservation well in advance and still be prepared to wait. The bar is a decent option if you are dining solo.

The restaurant is famous for the stuffed schnitzel, but we recommend the ribeye, which is the sleeper dish and was, until recently a relative steal (the price has since been raised).

The lamb ragu is also delightful as is the lamb shank. The hummus appetizer and the golden focaccia are good starters.

Malka is a good place to dine with observant Jews or if you happen to craze tasty, creative Israeli food.
