When you think of South Beach, likely loud scenes, beautiful women and nightlife come to mind. Mila, a Mediterranean Fusion restaurant, on Meridian, is just that with excellent food.
The restaurant offers reservations and we recommend sitting outside by the small pools. Located a few stories up, the inner room of the restaurant has a packed bar and lots of booths and tables. The space fills with men of all ages and generally younger women. Outside, a fire dancer performs regularly throughout the night by the pools. The bar on the terrace is set back slightly and there are a number of larger tables.
The food is not cheap, but it is surprisingly good. The fish is tasty and the sushi, as seems all too common in Miami at restaurants of any type, is also good. This is a fun place to go as a tourist or to take tourists. It is a South Beach experience with good food, decent service and an expensive, but not outrageous, price point.
