Located in the Carmel Market, Panda Pita is emblematic of Israeli culinary creativity. It combines traditional middle eastern components (eg pita) with a more typical Mexican component of ground meat (think tacos) in the house specialty, Sloppy Joe.
This is a casual place off the main drag and a fine spot to get a bite. The Sloppy Joe is delicious and the side dish of roots provides a nice textural contrast with crunch and grilled vegetables.
If you’re hungry and want to try a savory pita, go to Panda.
