If you’re looking for a good restaurant in the Upper East Side of New York City, you’ve come to the right place. Piccola Cucina Uptown is a great place to have delectable Italian food. The staff is pleasant and the decor is fun. The restaurant has both outdoor and indoor seatings. Inside is surprisingly oblong, but I recommend making a reservation for the front of the restaurant.
There are a number of sister restaurants, but the one on the Upper East Side features an outstanding Branzino appetizer as well as terrific artichoke carciofi and caprese salad. The pastas are tasty and the local variant of pizza (focaccia di recco) is worth a try if you are wiling to veer from traditional sauce and cheese Neapolitan. For dessert the tiramisu and nutella flan are both superb. You get what you pay for, and the quality of the food definitely makes up for the price.
