Pita Grill boasts multiple locations with the most recent being an addition to the Upper East Side. It is a small place, ideally suited to takeout. The food is quite good – in particular the lamb and turkey shawarma, the wings, kebab, and arayes are all tasty.
The downside to the restaurant is primarily the cost. For a takeout place, the food costs what you might expect at a sit down restaurant. The delivery is not consistently good and, while those that work behind the counter are pleasant, other staff are not.
This is a place to go for a shawarma bowl if you’re craving kosher meat in a hurry on the upper east side. Plan to take your food to go.
