Pizza Suprema

Penn Station, New York

Pizza Suprema

On an otherwise nondescript storefront on an otherwise rundown block across from Madison Square Garden is Pizza Suprema, a slice place beloved by aficionados and commuters alike. When you step inside the tall glass displays featuring pies of virtually every combination one could imagine await. The narrow front belies the sizable seating area past the cashier that has a surprisingly large number of booths so getting a seat to enjoy your slice should not be a problem.

The slices are piping hot from what looks like a standard oven, but seems to cook at a higher temperature than most. This may contribute to the crispy crust. The pizza is not cheap, but it is tasty.

Not open super late nor in a great area, I’d recommend going if you are taking in an event across the street at MSG or happen to be passing through Penn Station. Go with friends or by yourself and, if you go during peak hours, expect a line that can take 10-20 minutes to order and be served.
