The Loft is a well known kosher steakhouse in Crown Heights. Given its location, it attracts very religious diners. While there are occasionally couples having dinner, much of the restaurant fills with business patrons, usually men, often in traditional garb.
The tables at the Loft are placed close together, the atmosphere is noisy and there does seem to be an obvious favoritism of regulars.
Since the prices are expensive, it is a bit of a disappointment. The food is good and the service is decent, but as a high end experience, the restaurant lacks the refinement necessary to justify the price points.
