Uncle Lou’s is a delightful spot to enjoy Chinese food that’s accessible to non natives. The restaurant has a deceptively small storefront with a large seating area past a bar capable of seating a handful of people.
The restaurant does not take reservations for parties under 6 people so be prepared to wait if you come during normal dining hours. The wait, however, is worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful. While the menu is large there are some clear standouts. This is a place that appeals to locals and visitors alike.
The chives and eggs dish as well as the pepper fish are excellent. While your humble correspondent did not eat meat or chicken there, reviews from a fellow diner were equally enthusiastic.
Go to Uncle Lou’s with a large group of friends or for a fun date. Other than the wait, with reasonable prices, good service and tasty food you will not be disappointed.
