Upland has a wide following for solid food across the board – pizza, pasta, salads, and burgers. Celebrities such as the Obamas and commoners such as yours truly go there for brunch or dinner.
Conveniently located near Madison Square Park, it is a great place to grab a bite and then explore during the day or at night head to any of the nearby bars nearby in Flatiron, Union Square or Gramercy.
Upland is not cheap, but for NYC offers a good experience at a reasonable price; a pleasant atmosphere with a diverse menu makes it a place worth frequenting.
