If you’re adventurous and looking to try authentic cuisine, Y Uri Fergana has delicious Bukharian food. The chicken and beef lula are wonderful kebabs; the pelmeni are fantastic though the last couple of times the author noted a new recipe that hopefully will revert to the earlier one.
Bukharian food offers hearty dishes in a BYOB setting. Not all the staff speak English so prepare to order by pointing at the item on the menu. If you go during the summer, ask to sit in the back, but be aware that smoking does happen there.
All in all, Y Uri Fergana offers a delightful Bukharian experience at a reasonable price right off the train at 63rd Drive.
